What we Do

Impact that reaches home

KPN initiates projects, activities and events that drive the professional development of members, benefit our kinsmen back home, and promote and project Kwahu globally. Some of these include:

01 KPN Inspires
Youth Empowerment

KPN Inspires

An initiative aimed at raising a generation of Kwahu youth who are empowered to excel individually and collectively to contribute to the holistic development and advancement of Kwahuman. The maiden edition was held in March 2022 and focused on girls in SHS.

02 Professional / Development Webinars & Forums
Knowledge & Networking

Professional / Development Webinars & Forums

The network holds quarterly professional development webinars, forums and interactive sessions that aim to complement members’ knowledge, skills and expertise to enable them to excel in their various career fields. These knowledge sessions also focus on the development of Kwahuman, especially in tourism. Some past sessions include:

  • Boosting Kwahu Tourism webinar
  • Business growth and expansion strategies webinar (with UKGCC)
  • KPN Business Forum — jointly with the Ghana Enterprises Agency (formerly NBSSI)
  • KPN Convos — an interactive session
03 Annual KPN & B&FT Special Easter Publication
Tourism Promotion

Annual KPN & B&FT Special Easter Publication

Since 2020, the network has collaborated with the Business and Financial Times (B&FT) Newspaper to promote, project and position Kwahu as a tourism destination of choice. The collaboration leverages the socio-economic opportunities that the Easter celebration (synonymous with Kwahu) brings — highlighting its rich traditions, architecture, the industriousness of its natives and its breathtaking tourism destinations.

A special edition of the newspaper, which captures everything Kwahu, is issued both in print and online.

04 KPN Giveback
Health & Philanthropy

KPN Giveback

The Giveback initiative is a health and philanthropic initiative that enables members of the network to give back to our kinsmen. Running since 2019, it provides free medical care, free drugs, health education, and donation of drugs to medical facilities for the less privileged in various Kwahu towns.

It has benefitted thousands of our kinsmen over the years and expanded in reach year on year. Kwahu-owned businesses and organisations from corporate Ghana also support the initiative each year.

05 Yenko Kwahu
Roots & Tourism

Yenko Kwahu

A Kwahu tourism promotion initiative that seeks to connect network members and all people of Kwahu descent to their roots through exploration and visits to the unique tourism sites in Kwahu. It aims to highlight the tourism potential of Kwahu, increase patronage of the sites and boost the tourism ecosystem. It is held annually, normally in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority.
