Overview

Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) is a non-partisan group made up of professionals who hail from the Kwahu area of the republic of Ghana. Members of this professional network have come together to utilize their diverse skills, expertise, knowledge and experience in various fields to advance their shared interest in developing Kwahu.

It also aims to protect Kwahu’s cultural heritage and promote its rich traditions and history. The network recognizes the need to contribute to the socio-economic welfare and sustainable development of Kwahu and Kwahus in Ghana and worldwide, and it works to achieve this through various impactful projects, initiatives and activities.

Brief History

KPN was formally launched on the 15th of December 2018 at a grand ceremony at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel in Accra. Distinguished personalities and delegations graced the event. It included an impressive contingent from the Kwahu Traditional Council, Kwahu Forum, various Kwahu interest groups, representatives from the various township associations and some notable government appointees.

Composition

Although relatively young, the network has built an admirable reputation and aggregated a strong and vibrant membership. The accomplished and astute career professionals who form the network are in diverse fields spanning engineering, medicine, law, architecture, public and civil service, health, and entrepreneurship, among others. The network has international branches in London-UK and New York-USA.

Aims and Objectives

KPN exists to:

  1. Create a common network that brings together professionals of Kwahu descent to exchange ideas and work together, develop each other and create a sense of communal bonding.
  2. Promote and facilitate good ambition of younger generations to access and pursue higher education and/or decent vocational skills to become responsible future leaders.
  3. Encourage Kwahu professionals to create opportunities for other Kwahus.
  4. Pursue charity projects that provide opportunities and hope for the less privileged and marginalized in society for them to maximize their human potential.
  5. Work assiduously to protect our cultural heritage through activities that promote and sustain the rich Kwahu history and traditions.

Core Values

We believe in:

  1. Patriotism and stewardship.
